History
In early 2017 a small, very damaged building in a very good location in Marion, VA came up for sale. Artist Bepe Kafka and her friend, the surrealist painter Jarata, spotted it, and when Bepe walked in, she knew that this would be her future and her home. No question whatsoever. How rare is that! The construction process was protracted and difficult, but when people walk in and their faces light up at the art, at the beautiful space--it is worth it, every bit!
Specialties
Who would expect to find a high-end, white cube art gallery right in the heart of Appalachia? We at Art on 16 believe that the best place to experience art is away from the art circuit, where art is a destination, and where small-town ambiance allows art to speak to you naturally, in its own way.
