Appomattox Regional Governor s School, also known as ARGS, serves more than 300 students in grades nine through 12. It offers a range of programs in dance, music, theater arts, technology, history, English and math. Its technology program offers courses in advanced engineering, programming, graphics and industrial management. The school s theater arts program includes classes in direction, production, audition, lighting and stage makeup. The school also offers courses in French, Latin, Spanish and German. Located in Petersburg, Va., the school s facility includes a library that offers a variety of online resources, including books, periodicals and newspapers. Additionally, Appomattox Regional Governor s School operates a store that provides batteries, visors, mugs, cups, notebooks, pens, highlighters, stickers and pens.
