American College of Radiology, founded in 1923, is a medical organization comprising diagnostic and interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians and medical physicists. The organization has more than 30,000 members, and offers over 200 million imaging procedures, including diagnostic and interventional programs. It offers various diagnostic services, such as mammography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound and biopsy. The center also offers programs in nuclear medicine, radiation oncology, CT scan, radiography and fluoroscopy. Its publications include Journal of the American College of Radiology, a monthly magazine featuring topics, such as practice management, health services, research, policy and education. The organization is affiliated with American College of Radiology Imaging Network and Radiation Therapy Oncology Group. Headquartered in Reston, Va., American College of Radiology has branch offices in Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia.
