Coach John started Action Fitness years after changing his own life and going from being the overweight, out of shape kid through school and most of college where he changed his health and lost over 40 pounds with his new lifestyle. He created a program initially helping local FCPS teachers on site and running outdoor bootcamps where he focused on inclusive, challenging workout programs that pushed everyone to become their best version and reach their goals. John saw the biggest problem in the fitness industry was that gyms and trainers were either: A) after your money B) Inflexible and unwilling to adapt to the client, their personal challenges and fitness level C) Focused too much on their own ego vs. believing in their clients and that they can improve This is what Action Fitness was founded on and what we stand for. We help people become their BEST version and self improve. Some want to lose weight, some want better health, some want to look good AND feel good. We do this in our high energy workout program that's led by an amazing team of coaches and positive community of members dedicated to self-improvement and reaching goals - not just talking about them. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive group of people that challenge each other in a positive, team based manner.
