SRI International is an independent, nonprofit research institute that conducts client-sponsored research and development for government agencies, commercial businesses, foundations and other organizations. The institute was founded in 1946 and is located in Arlington, Va. It is organized into various divisions with, including engineering and systems, policy, information and computing sciences, biosciences and physical sciences. The institute s engineering and systems division conducts engineering research, integration, and systems engineering and development services for government clients.
