Founded by Alden Partridge, Norwich University is one of the leading providers of secondary education in the United States. Based in Northfield, Vt., it has been operational for more than 100 years. Norwich offers more than 80 clubs and organizations, such as academic and professional societies, special interest clubs, literary, theatrical and musical activities, religious, military and community service organizations, and programming committees. A National Collegiate Athletic Association division III university, it provides various intramural, club, intercollegiate and varsity sports. Norwich University also provides several types of financial aid programs, including scholarships, grants, loans and work-study support solutions. Its courses include American studies, anthropology, archaeology, art and art history, biochemistry and molecular biology, classical studies, computer science, dance and music, and East Asian studies. Additionally, the university offers majors in economics, English, environmental science, geology, international business, Judaic studies, and law and government.
