Woodridge is the nursing home of the Central Vermont Medical Center in Barre, Vt. It is a nonprofit, more than 150-bed nursing facility. Established in 1970s, it provides long- and short-term care to residents of the former Heaton House in Montpelier and McFarland House in Barre, Vt. It offers nursing care in areas, such as palliative care, rehabilitation, pain management and advanced wound care. It also provides physical, occupational, speech and swallowing therapies. The nursing home offers a program of recreational activities and specialized activity programs for patients with dementia. It provides easy access to emergency care, diagnostic testing, hospitalization and medical specialties. It is affiliated with the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
