Founded in 2002, Thomas Edison Charter School North is a more than 33,500 square feet of publicly funded education center. It provides phonics-based language arts program that helps to improve reading, writing, spelling and vocabulary skills. The school offers classes in mathematics, English, science, music, visual arts and social studies for students in kindergarten through grade eight. Thomas Edison Charter School North maintains a parent organization that provides assistance with fundraising and extracurricular activities. It is governed by Thomas Edison Charter Schools, which also operates Thomas Edison Charter School South. The parent organization offers academic and athletic programs for approximately 1,300 students.
