History
The Nora Eccles Treadwell Foundation, established by Eccles Treadwell Harrison before her death in 1978, generously donated funds for the construction of the Museum building, which was dedicated and opened Friday, December 3, 1982. The architect was Edward Larrabee Barnes. The Museum is an independent unit of Utah State University, partially supported with funds allocated by the State Legislature.

The Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art is an accredited academic art museum dedicated to modern and contemporary art with an emphasis on artists working or residing in the the western United States. Our collection of over 5,000 pieces is also home to an impressive ceramics collection. Exhibits and programming change frequently to provide educational and fun experiences for audiences of all ages.
