History
I began practicing in Casper, Wyoming in 1982, where I handled many different kinds of cases and gained broad experience in many areas of law. In 2000, I moved to Utah and spent two years as an in-house attorney before opening a private practice emphasizing estate planning, probate, trust administration, real estate law and business organizations. During the last five years, I have transitioned to a practice in which about 95% of my work is in estate planning. I serve clients primarily in Salt Lake County and Utah County.
Specialties
As an estate planning and elder law attorney, I help people who are worried about the future. Some are worried about making sure everything is in order if they become incapacitated or if they pass away. Others are stressed out and overwhelmed about how to pay for long-term care for themselves or their loved ones. I counsel with individuals and families about how to plan for these events, and I help them implement appropriate solutions.
