History
I have always had a deep love for photography, starting with a Pentax 35mm film camera my mother bought at a garage sale when I was around six years old. I took it everywhere with me, a habit I still retain to this day. When I was 16 I approached a local photographer, Don Barnes, that I admired and asked if he was in need of an assistant. Unfortunately, times were a bit tight as the world of photography were changing to the digital world; he could not afford an assistant. However, my love for photography was not restricted to making a profit. I offered to work for free, so long as I could learn more about my passion. I followed him to any and every shoot I could, always curious about why he did what. He took me to photography guilds and TPPA (Texas Professional Photographers Association) meetings so I could soak up as much information as I could. This experience solidified my love for photography.
Specialties
I offer my clients an experience to create custom artwork. Artwork of you and the ones you love more than anything in the world. Because my style is simple, I am able to capture candid portraiture that celebrates individuals and families. You will find that I create a different kind of photography experience for my clients. A lot of times people come to me that have either gone to the mall or other chain photographer. As a result, they are not quite know what to expect. Most are surprised how relaxed and comfortable they feel. Furthermore, you will never be rushed or hurried to get through a session. As a result, I create an experience for for you while at the same time creating heirloom artwork. Artwork you will love and cherish for decades to come. I want you and your family to enjoy the entire process, from start to finish. It's important we find unique locations and settings for you and your family. My specialty is in families and children; and the scenery in Southern Utah is breathtaking. You will be able to look at the artwork that we created together years down the road and be immediately brought back to that place and experience and feel so great about the image. As I stated above, never will book sessions back to back, I will never rush your session, and this affords us the ability and opportunity to create some really fun things. Most of all, and never will be, that photographer that wants to crank out session after session.
