Utah State Library Division
The Utah State Library, a division of the Utah Department of Community and Culture, works to develop, advance and promote library services and provides equal access to information and library resources to residents in Utah. Founded in 1957, its catalogs contain information about materials owned by the library. The library works with government entities, groups and organizations. The Utah State Library also offers library services for people with various disabilities. It provides training services for its customers in the use of diverse information technologies and resources. The library also operates an online library, Pioneer, which offers information resources to public and state agencies. The Utah State Library provides the Bookmobile program, which carries approximately 5,000 items, including picture books, easy readers, nonfiction, mysteries, classics, best sellers, general fiction, westerns, romance, large print, interlibrary loan, Internet, videos, CD s and DVD s.
