Wolfforth Fire & EMS is responsible for preserving and protecting the life, health and properties of individuals in Wolfforth, Texas. The organization promotes training, teaching and practice of fire prevention and protection. Its fire department was established in 1954 and provides fire and rescue services to the city of Wolfforth and southwest Lubbock County, Texas. Wolfforth Fire & EMS hosts a rescue school annually and provides opportunities for volunteers and paid firefighters to learn techniques in vehicle extrication. Its volunteer emergency medical service has more than 35 members and operates ambulances for nonemergency medical transfers.
