History

Our district operates two libraries, the Westbank Community Library (originally built in 1989) and the Laura Bush Community Library (2009), each about 15,000 square feet. In addition, we have a book sale room and community garden at Westbank. Westbank Library was established as the first library district in the state of Texas.

They accommodated a Structural Ignition Zone Advisor Class given by River Place Firewise Committee and the Austin Fire Department on July 27th. They were easy to work with and were very nice.
