History
Water From The Rock (WFTR) started from humble beginnings in November 1999 operating out of a garage with one staff member. The initial focus of the organization was to help low-income women make a successful transition into the workforce by providing them with clothing for job interviews. In January 2002, WFTR moved to an office in the Arlington Human Services Building at 401 Sanford Street. The core program of the organization remained the same - providing clothing to women who were trying to obtain employment. In 2005 we moved to 1015 Gibbins Rd., Arlington, Texas and in June 2019, we moved to our present location at 402 N.L. Robinson Drive, Arlington, Texas. WFTR has evolved into a multi-service organization that assists men and women living in Central Arlington with free services to enhance their ability to become self-sufficient. WFTR has two paid staff and volunteers who assist with the provision of services to our clients.
