History
After much discussion with other parents in Atascosa County, there was a consensus that we needed more performing arts opportunities for our children (and ourselves) to participate in. As a home schooling family we understood how difficult it can be to find activities for our children, so we decided to trust in God and share our many talents and experience for the benefit of the community. With the support of friends and family, we were able to get our performing arts studio up and running in a very short time. It was difficult to find music instructors in our area and with the help of technology; we are able to present our customers with a Virtual Music program that reaches out to a vast selection of professional musicians eager to teach our students. We are excited and humbled to be able to provide these services to the community and hope to cultivate a love of the performing arts, one step at a time.
Specialties
At Texas Dance Culture we aim to provide our students with solid dance fundamentals, but beyond that, we aim to create and maintain a positive and challenging yet fun environment. As a brand new budding business, we recognize the multitude of genres we could potentially introduce to our students in the future, like traditional ballroom, Latin ballroom, and even flamenco, and we most definitely plan to continually expound our students' dance knowledge. In fewer words: more dance genres to come! This being our debut season, we have yet to form any competitive teams, but we know this could be a wonderful goal for our company. Even then, our first priority will always be training and equipping our students, who are the legacy of our community. Awards and trophies are motivating and fun, but skill, knowledge, and wisdom are invaluable.
