The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality handles matter related to the environment in the state. The agency employs more than 2,500 staff members and maintains over 15 regional offices throughout Texas. Its Chief Engineer's Office advises the agency on technical and policy matters and oversees air and surface water quality planning and management operations. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality s Office of Administrative Services provides financial administration and facility support and maintenance services, as well as human and computer resources. The agency also operates through the Office of Legal Services, Office of the Commissioners, and Office of Compliance and Enforcement.
