History
Texas Ballet Theater School, Fort Worth, began as Fort Worth School of Ballet in 1985. In 2003, Ben Stevenson, O.B.E. was appointed Artistic Director and the school name was changed to better reflect our status as The Official School of Texas Ballet Theater.
Specialties
Training the next generation of dancers and arts patrons is the mission of TBT Schools in Fort Worth and Dallas. Starting with the very young, we nurture aspiring artists to discover their greatest potential and to develop a love of movement, a passion for creativity and an appreciation for the beauty and athleticism of classical dance. Texas Ballet Theater Schools provide a complete training program for recreational dancers as well as those aspiring to be professionals. All classes are offered in a nurturing environment and offer performance opportunities at all levels. The Fort Worth School follows the American Ballet Theater National Training Curriculum and is home to Texas Ballet Theater School Professional Division.
