History
Eleven years ago I was due with my first child. I was 22, single, and felt like I had lost my ability to make choices. I followed the advice I was given, and did things the way I was told they had always been done. Choices. Having and making choices makes a person feel powerful, in control. But having few or none can make anyone feel like a prisoner. EverDoula was built from a desire to help expectant families embrace their new roles with confidence. I know that when birthing people understand their choices, and they're able to make choices according to their own values, they grow in all directions. They parent with confidence instead of fear. As a doula and as a mother, I know a foundation like that will benefit parents and their children many times over.
