Stamford High School, also known as SHS, offers a range of academic and enrichment programs. The school enrolls more than 170 students in grades 9 through 12. With a staff of over 25 people, it offers guidance counseling services. Stamford High School also provides lessons in English, reading, science, mathematics, language arts and social studies. The school administers a variety of special and character education programs. In addition, it provides opportunities for several sports activities, such as baseball, basketball, softball and cross-country. Stamford High School is governed by Stamford Independent School District, which also operates elementary and middle education institutions.
