HistoryThe Christian Science Reading Room is a bookstore, a library, and a study center. Each Church of Christ, Scientist sponsors a Reading Room. Ours is in the church building. It's a place where anyone can come in to learn more about the Bible, the teachings of Jesus, God's love for us, and what the study of Christian Science is about ... all in a quiet peaceful setting. You can also just come in for quiet study and reflection. Since the 1950's this Reading Room was first located in a bank building. Later, in The Galleria Shopping Mall. Currently, it's in the church building. So, come in and explore! It's a bookstore, library, and study center. It's also a place to discuss spiritual topics, to ask questions, and to learn about a God who saves and heals. The bookstore offers items for purchase such as: Bibles, and various Bible Reference books. Here you'll find the book - Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures written by Mary Baker Eddy who is the discoverer and founder of Christian Science and the founder of the Christian Science denomination. You'll find Children's Bible story books, inspirational CD's, and more.
