History
St. Andrew's came into being through the vision and commitment of the Diocese of Dallas, its Bishop, The Rt. Rev. James Stanton and the Church Planting ommission of the Diocese of Dallas. In May of 2005, they called the Rev. Mike Michie, who was then Vicar of Christ the King Episcopal Church in Houston, to be the founding Vicar. Rev. Michie, his wife Laurie, and three daughters, Kellie, Jennifer and Mariana moved from Houston to McKinney in August of 2005. From August 2005 to February 2006, the Michie's were graciously hosted and nurtured by the people of St. Philip's, Frisco, and their Rector, The Rev. Clay Lein.
