Owner Mickey Wooten is no stranger to the restaurant business or the Bay Area community. Mickey has worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry for more than 30 years and knows what makes for a great dining experience. "When I opened South Shore Grille, I was looking to create not only a setting but also an experience that I would enjoy, " Wooten says. "I wanted the restaurant to be warm and inviting, a place where people could relax, make new friends and enjoy easy conversation." As for The Grille's special fusion of Cuban and American flavors, Wooten has drawn from his extensive library of cookbooks and years in the kitchen. "I wanted to bring together all that I've accomplished and experienced in life into the perfect mix of options designed to appeal to every palette. It was important for my staff and me to have creative freedom in our kitchen and to give our customers both the expected and unexpected when they dine with us." South Shore Grille represents the best of what Mickey Wooten has learned about the restaurant business. Located in a convenient and desirable part of the Clear Lake area, The Grille is just steps from world-class yachting, sailing and championship golf. "The Bay Area is home to me and my family, and has been for many years, " says Wooten. "We want everyone who visits South Shore Grille to feel at home, whether in our bar, our main dining area or under the awning in our outdoor patio setting. Our philosophy is simple: If you don't come into The Grille already a friend, you're bound to leave that way."
