History
The Council started back in 1958 in Beaumont, Texas. Through the years with a few name changes, it evolved to the entity it is today. The Council offers much needed substance use disorder services to the Southeast Texas area, through residential programs as well as Intensive Outpatient Programs for adults and adolescents.

South East Texas Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse is a non-profit 501(c)3 agency, that provides treatment services for substance use disorders on a sliding scale basis. We offer an adult male residential program, as well as Intensive Outpatient treatment for adults and adolescents. Our mission is to make Southeast Texas better and healthier place. Our residential program is a 21-28 day intensive residential program. The IOP is a three month program that meets three times a week. We offer transportation to and from treatment, as well as family counseling, group counseling, and individual counseling.
