HistoryDuring the late 70s and early 80s HEST (Health Equipment of South Texas) Fitness Products president and founder Albert Kessler -- along with his wife, Paula -- became heavily-involved in health and fitness. HEST Fitness Products began in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1981 when Albert Kessler converted an old Maverick Market Convenience Store into his first store.
