Based in San Antonio, Providence High School is a Catholic college preparatory institution for young women in grades nine through 12 and is sponsored by the Congregation of Divine Providence. Established in 1951, it offers a range of honors, advanced placement and dual credit courses. The school s academic offerings include theology, English, mathematics, social studies, science, foreign languages, fine arts and physical education. In addition, it provides opportunities for students to participate in more than 10 sports, including volleyball, basketball, soccer, track, swimming, track and field, tennis, golf, softball and cheerleading. The school s library houses a collection of nonfiction and fiction books, periodicals and educational videos. It is approved by Texas Catholic Conference Education Department and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
