Bush Elementary School serves more than 800 students in kindergarten through grade four. The school has a library media center that assists students in the use of current and appropriate information and encourages reading as a lifetime activity. The school offers academic classes in various subjects, such as vocal and instrumental music, math, science, speech, technology, art, health, social studies and physical education. It offers an accelerated reader program, which is a curriculum-based assessment tool that provides a summary and analysis of results to monitor quantity and quality of reading practices engaged in by the students. It is operated by the Conroe Independent School District, which also operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Bush Elementary School has been operational since 1996 and is located in The Woodlands, Texas.
