Richardson Fence Company was founded by Earl Richardson in 1953. The business at that time specialized in fencing, awnings, and ornamental iron. After completion of his degree in business, Michael Richardson bought the company from his father. In 1986, the company was incorporated and the name changed to Richardson Fence & Patio to more accurately describe the product line. Today, fencing and patio enclosures are a significant part of the product line. Along with being known as the premier residential fencing company for the 4 states area, Richardson's vast fence expertise is recognized in the commercial and industrial marketplace as the fence builder of choice. With 56 years of tradition and business experience guiding the way, Richardson Fence and Patio is the company people and businesses turn to when quality and service are their priority. Michael Richardson and Richardson Fence & Patio have maintained a strong presence in the community as a member in good standing with the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce, The Texarkana Home Builders Association, The Better Business Bureau, The American Fence Association, and the Texas Fence Association. In addition, Mr. Richardson is a graduate of Texas A & M University at Texarkana ( formerly East Texas State University at Texarkana ), a member of the Texarkana Oaklawn Rotary Club for over 30 years, a Paul Harris Fellow, and a respected member of the community. He is frequently found volunteering his time and goods to various community agencies. Also, Mr. Richardson has been designated as a Certified Fence Professional by The American Fence Association by examination.
