Minute Maid Park is a stadium located in Houston, Texas. Minute Maid Park is currently home to the MLB team the Houston Astros. The stadium opened on April 7, 2000 with the construction taking just over two years at a cost of just over $250 million, $340 million in today’s dollars. Minute Maid obtained the naming rights from Enron in 2002 after the scandal.
The Houston Astros are one-time National League Pennant holders and are members of the West Division of the American League within MLB. They are known by their team colors consisting of blue, orange and white. The current owner of the Astros is Jim Crane.
The stadium currently holds 42,060 fans. There are 63 luxury suites and over 5,000 seats at the club level. Currently, it is the 15th largest stadium in MLB in terms of seating capacity.
In terms of parking there are several options: the Diamond Lot is closest to the stadium and is for VIP and Season Ticket Holders. Parking in Lot A, B and D are typically reserved in advance. General Parking is available in Lot C. There is also disabled parking available.
