The Marshall Fire Department, operational since 1876, is governed by the City of Marshall in Texas. The department is responsible for providing fire prevention and suppression services for citizens. It offers emergency pre-hospital care and nonemergency ambulance transfer services. The Marshall Fire Department also serves the citizens of Harrison County in Texas. The department manages fire stations and a fleet of ambulances. In addition, it responds to more than 6,000 emergency medical calls. The city government manages administration, human resources, information technology, economic development, and building and maintenance departments. The City of Marshall in Texas also operates police, purchasing, and parks and recreation departments.
