Founded in 1963, Mackenzie Middle School serves approximately 700 students in grades six through eight. The school offers classes in language arts, math, social studies, technology, science, foreign languages and physical education. Its curriculum includes band, orchestra, choir, home economics, art, computers and business education. Mackenzie Middle School supports several sports activities, such as football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, and track and field. The school provides membership for various organizations, including the National Junior Honor Society, student council and Spirit Squad. It is located in Lubbock, Texas. Mackenzie Middle School is a part of the Lubbock Independent School District, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
