The Boys & Girls Club of Hobbs has been in operation since 1964 offering five-core program initiatives including arts, sports and fitness, social skills, character development and leadership development and education and career development. The club, based in Hobbs, N.M., has more than 25,000-square-feet of space available for youth and over 2,000 children as members. It offers a range of after school programs and activities for children and disadvantaged youth aged 6 through 18. These include swimming, tutoring, computers, Smart Moves, golf, fishing, gardening, arts and crafts, life skills, model airplane club, dance class, sewing, racquetball, field trips, picnics, bowling, board games, game room tournaments, skating and cooking lessons.
