We started doing some research on crops without a face; namely, fruit and nut trees suitable for our region, climate, and soil. Olive trees kept coming back time and time again. In 2008 we planted 16 Arbequina olive trees in the front yard at the farm. As our research unfolded, we had many conversations with excited Texas olive producers.
