History
I have 22 yrs of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. I began a part time private practice in Dallas in 1999 while working in an outpatient setting as well as teaching parenting classes. I left private practice to coordinate a behavioral unit at a junior high in Dallas. I relocated to the Houston area to work with ages 6-18 in residential treatment. In 2012, I began working as lead adult program therapist at an intensive outpatient/partial hospitalization program in The Woodlands. Prior to leaving the outpatient treatment center for private practice, I was in the position of Executive Director. From 2012-2018, I coordinated the intern program for graduate students from different universities. This allowed for me to be on the Advisory Board for the School of Graduate Studies in Counselor Education at SHSU. I have been a Board Approved Supervisor for LPC interns since 2007. I continue to supervise interns while in private practice.
