Based in Dallas, John B. Hood Middle School is governed by the Dallas Independent School District. The school provides instruction to more than 1,400 students in grades seven and eight. It employs more than 80 trained classroom instructors. John B. Hood Middle School offers a wide curriculum that includes various subjects, such as language arts, English, algebra, geometry, biology, chemistry, physics, world geography, fine arts, computers, world history and economics. The school also offers various special programs, including the National Junior Honor Society, future teachers, science fair, math Olympiad, chess club, technology education, orchestra, choir, band and occupational education programs.
