History
Originally founded in 1955 as the Institute of Religion and Health, the ISH has been through several incarnations to become what it is today - a center dedicated to the exploration of the interface between spirituality, including religion, and health for the purpose of improving patient experience in health settings.

Offering lectures, continuing education, and research focusing on the interface between religion, spirituality, and health, our mission is to create knowledge through research of the connection between spirituality and health, and to disseminate that knowledge so healthcare professionals can better serve their patients holistically.
