HistoryThat commitment began in 1924 when the first group of people joined together to worship God as a body of believers in the San Jacinto community at 6th and Tennessee. Back then we were known as San Jacinto Methodist Church. In 1963 we became San Jacinto United Methodist Church. In 2005, we became Covenant Fellowship Church at our new home in the Avondale community of Amarillo. September 1, 2014 we began the next chapter in our story. We moved our congregation to 8501 S. Coulter, in southwest Amarillo in response to God's call to be in fruitful ministry. We are excited about this new opportunity and look forward to what God will do in and through us. Much has changed over the years: our name, our address, and our membership. But one thing remains constant - our commitment. We have determined to remain a vital faith community committed to God's call on our lives individually, and as a congregation.
