History
The Hill Country SPCA was chartered as a 501c-3 non profit organization in the state of Texas in October, '97. From Day One, it was the dream of the HCSPCA organizers and volunteers to have their own shelter facility. This dream came true in '03 when Ed and Trudy Brune offered to underwrite a new shelter facility to be named after Trudy, in recognition of her life-long love of animals. The grand opening of the Trudy Brune Hill Country SPCA shelter facility was held in January, '06.
