Love in Action is a non-profit organization in Athens, TX dedicated to serving the homeless and poor in Henderson County. Founded by Teri Caswell, the organization started as a day center for the homeless, providing essential services such as showers and laundry facilities. Thanks to the generosity of First Baptist Church of Athens, Love in Action was able to utilize a property and transform it into a safe haven for the homeless. With the addition of washers, dryers, and a shower, the organization has been able to meet the growing needs of the community. Love in Action operates on alternate days to the Athens Soup Kitchen, ensuring that individuals have access to assistance and support on a daily basis.
