Established in 1912, Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas has a membership of more than 42,000 girls and over 15,000 adults. The agency operates the Adopt-a-Nursing Home program to serve residents in long-term care facilities. It offers assistance with the development of personal growth, courage, confidence and leadership skills. Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas provides developmental programs for nearly 14,000 girls from low-income families.
