He has appraised property in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, Idaho, and Alaska. In 1979, Scott was awarded the Accredited Rural Appraiser ( ARA ) designation from the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers ( ASFMRA ) and in 1983, he was awarded the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute. He is also an AQB certified USPAP instructor and is a board member of The Appraisal Foundation's Appraiser Qualifications Board. Scott has authored several appraisal courses and seminars and is a faculty member of the ASFMRA and the Appraisal Institute regularly instructing courses in real estate appraisal.
