HistoryFrom the circuit riders of the late 19th century to today's pioneers of worship, outreach, and ministry, the leadership and members of First United Methodist Church of Pecos reach out into our community. In so doing, we share the unconditional love of Christ, we invite our neighbors to experience worship that relates with real-life issues with real-life answers, and we provide opportunities for all ages to grow in the grace and the knowledge of Jesus Christ. As we worship and serve together, we continue to make history - growing numerically and growing spiritually - preparing disciples for the task of making a difference in the lives of others. We gather each Sunday morning for fellowship and worship that we might encourage one another and be challenged to follow the teachings and example of Jesus. Heartfelt singing and biblical preaching are the focus of each week's worship experience. Through a variety of settings, we actively engage children and youth in their journeys of faith. Additional programs addressing the needs of adults and families in our congregation and the community are in the planning stage. Renovations to our physical plant are making new space available for existing and future use. The future is bright as we continue to grow numerically and spiritually.
