Established in 1969, the El Paso County Community College District provides a range of educational programs. It operates more than five campuses throughout El Paso County in Texas. The district serves over 25,000 students per semester, as well as offers approximately 90 vocational technical programs. It provides a variety of degree courses in business technology, computer applications, speech communication, criminal justice, music, engineering, art, English, economics and science through its colleges. The district s colleges additionally offer instruction related to math, psychology, philosophy, drama, dance, anthropology, history and sociology. Its colleges provide classes in various foreign languages, such as French, German and Spanish. Each of the district s colleges also offers instructional programs in the fields of accounting, advertising, graphic design, architecture and automotive technology. Its colleges operate libraries that offer several journals, books, and educational and research materials. The El Paso County Community College District is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
