History
El Paso Ballet Theatre School provides an exemplary classical ballet program, with a systematic, well-structured curriculum for students from age three through adult. The major goals of the El Paso Ballet Theatre are to teach all its students self-discipline and self-confidence for success in their chosen field, and to prepare future dancers for transition into professional companies. In January 2009, Artistic Director Marta Katz formed the El Paso Ballet Theatre Company, a pre-professional company which, since its debut in February 2009, has gained recognition and praise for its public performances. To enhance the training experiences and performing opportunities of its students and dance students in the community, the El Paso Ballet Theatre brings in accomplished professional artists to conduct Master Classes and Summer Intensive Programs, and to choreograph and stage major productions.
