Science Academy was established in 1989 and provides a variety of academic programs in math and science streams to students in grades nine through 12. The academy offers programs in architecture, engineering and computer science. It also provides various programs in partnerships with the Rice University, the Rochester Institute of Technology, the University of Texas-Pan American and the South Texas College.
