East Texas CASA is a nonprofit organization that recruits and trains volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in Gregg, Rusk, and Upshur counties. Since 1992, they have been providing detailed information to the court to ensure the safety and well-being of these children, and to help them find safe and permanent homes as quickly as possible.
As a member of the National and Texas CASA Associations, East Texas CASA is part of a national volunteer movement that began in 1977. With over 1,000 CASA programs nationwide and 73 in the state of Texas, East Texas CASA is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of children by creating a brighter future through the recruitment and training of highly qualified volunteers.
