History
The Langdon Center began as the Chrysalis, a fine arts center in downtown Granbury, started by Dora Lee Langdon. The property was transferred to Tarleton State University in 1996 and was renamed the Dora Lee Langdon Cultural and Educational Center in her honor and continued to provide cultural programming and educational opportunities to the downtown area. In the summer of 2012 the property was transferred the City of Granbury and a partnership with Tarleton was created to continue providing cultural programs and guidance to downtown and greater Granbury.
Specialties
Art exhibits, concerts and recitals featuring local, regional and national artists as well the home of the Langdon Center Big Band, Granbury Civic Chorus and Small Business Development Center.
