Founded in 1972, Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions is a public magnet high school that represents a partnership between the Houston Independent School District and Baylor College of Medicine. It is a Blue Ribbon school that offers a college preparatory and health-oriented educational program for students in grades 9 through 12. The school offers enrichment, tutorial, summer and mentorship programs. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as English, social studies, math, science, health education, foreign languages, fine arts and computers. Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions is located in Houston.
