Dr. Kurian grew up in Michigan, moved to Texas in 2008 and has been working as a pediatrician in Irving ever since. She has hospital privileges at Las Colinas Medical Center where she sees newborns in the nursery. She completed her undergraduate degree in Honors Biochemistry at the University of Michigan before attending medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. After receiving her medical degree, she then completed her Pediatric residency at the Children s Hospital of Michigan. There she researched factors in combating obesity in the community and was awarded the Tina Kelley Intern of the Year Award and the Bonita Stanton Professionalism Award in Pediatrics in 2008. Dr. Kurian was board certified in Pediatrics in 2009 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In 2015, she won Living Magazine s Reader s Choice award for Best Pediatrician in Las Colinas and Coppell. She was also selected to the Texas Super Doctors Rising Stars 2016 list and as a 2018 Mom-Approved Pediatrician. In her free time, Dr. Kurian enjoys cooking Indian food, spending time with family and horseback riding.
