Dallas County Community College District is the one of the largest undergraduate institutions in Texas. It offers programs in the disciplines of accounting, architecture, biotechnology, nanotechnology, computer information technology, nutrition and physical education. The district also provides courses in the areas of business administration, construction management, criminal justice, digital imaging technology, health information management, medical assisting and vocational nursing. Dallas County Community College District has a range of extracurricular organizations, including student government association, yoga-meditation club, dancer s theatre and Latin American student organization. The district was founded in 1965 and has an annual enrollment of more than 80,000 students. It is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
